The Houssian Foundation is dedicated to fueling feminist movements in Canada and around the world by providing flexible, unrestricted grants that enable organizations and ideas to flourish. Anchored by the belief that everyone, regardless of gender, deserves to live free from discrimination, access equal opportunities, and have their rights fully realized, the Foundation works to break down systemic inequities and uplift those most impacted by injustice.
Our grantee partners amplify efforts to advance gender justice through organizing, policy reform, advocacy, research, and frontline service delivery, centering the experiences of women, girls, trans people, and gender-nonconforming and two-spirited individuals.
Climate & Nature
British Columbia has long been recognized as a leader in climate action, often serving as a model for other regions. The Houssian Foundation is dedicated to protecting biodiversity across British Columbia and Canada, aligning with public commitments to safeguard 30% of lands and waters by 2030. We are also committed to maintaining progress toward a zero-carbon future.
